During a special exhibition game in 1985, Michael Jordan dunked a basketball powerful enough to shatter the backboard.
In honor of the event, Nike's Jordan Brand crafted a special edition of the classic Air Jordan 1 silhouette. The sneaker features a limited edition Black/White-Starfish colorway. The "Air Jordan" insignia displays itself prominently on the upper sides of the shoe, and an orange Swoosh logo stands out in stark contrast to the white parts of the AJ1 Mid Shattered Backboard. To top things off, a shattered backboard graphic adorns the insole of the silhouette.
The Air Jordan 1 Mid Shattered Backboard released in September 2019 and retailed for $110.
